Minecraft celebrates 200 million copies sold
In the wake of the new logo of their studio, Mojang revealed some Minecraft sales statistics. It turns out that Minecraft has sold more than 200 million copies to date, which is too important to be properly treated. The Hit also peaked at 126 million simultaneous players per month. These are numbers for which most games would kill.
A longer blog article on Xbox Wire discusses in more detail this recent set of milestones. The game has been used for educational purposes, as a social center and as an essential escape for quarantine. Between all this and the imminent launch of Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang Studios is experiencing an excellent month.
Beyond the Edit Edition mentioned above, there is also the minecraft earth project, the RTX Beta and Minecraft: Java Edition. It is also a question of a feature film in preparation, which will eventually break record box office. Although I have not personally touched the game for almost a decade, there is no doubt that it is an ideal way to spend the hours while you are stuck inside. Minecraft is available for more or less all ground platforms, while Minecraft Dungeons arrives on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
