PS4 will soon receive update 9.00 and it brings more than the usual system stability improvement

Not all interested people have still received the chance to buy one of the coveted PS5 consoles. Thus, many players still have to accept them with their PS4. The console soon gets an update to version 9.00 and how the round of number suggests, more than just the usual improvement of system stability.

What's new? Probably the most important function should be the insight of PS5 trophies. So far, PS4 players got to see only one empty list with the note "Trophies not available" because the PS5 uses a new format for the trophy display than the PS4. But that soon belongs to the past.

How do I get the new update? The update 9.00 is officially not yet appeared. Some luckies have already received an invitation to betaphase for the new update to test it before publishing:

When will the update appear? As soon as the betaphase is completed and the most serious errors have been fixed, the update will be available for download for all PS4 owners.

Although Sony did not call a official date yet, probably the update will appear in the next few weeks.

Main functions updated in this system software beta program version

• You can now display trophies for PS5 games on PS4.
• If you are in the menu item "Messages" the owner of a group, you can delete them now. Opens the option menu and then select [Delete group]. If you delete a group, it will be deleted for all members.
• If you are blocking someone now, you can also leave the group in which only you and he are at the same time. You will not leave any groups in which other players are included in.

Other update functions

• If a child requests the use of communication functions for a game, its parents or guardians receive a message via the PS4 system and the PlayStation app.
